Building Strong Relationships: Essential Strategies for Working with People

Tags: Relationships, Person-centred work, Dynamics

This is a three-hour introduction into the core themes, values and skills front line staff need in the work they do. We will cover the importance of having a person-centered approach, about the importance of empathy and relationship building in the work we do, and how these approaches can be an effective way of mentoring youth and adults to build their social capacity in the world. We will talk about our own values, our own sense of self, and how they impact the relationships we develop.
