We stand in solidarity with our relatives and Indigenous Families across Turtle Island, on the discovery of the mass grave of 215 children.
The Residential School survivors and family members of the children who never made it home had long suspected there were children buried on the school grounds and tried for many years to find them. On Victoria Day long weekend, a ground penetrating radar was used to find the site.
We recognize the hurt and sorrow this discovery causes, as Residential School Survivors are re-living traumatic events of the past.
We encourage all Canadians to stand up show support by signing the petition “WE DEMAND GROUND PENETRATING RADAR AT ALL HISTORIC INDIAN RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS” at change.org
