Melanie Anonuevo is an Occupational Therapist in our Multidisciplinary Assessment and Consultation Centre (MACC). She attended the University of Manitoba for both undergraduate and graduate studies, acquiring both her Bachelor of Science degree, and her Master of Occupational Therapy Program.

She has experience working in both hospital and community settings. Melanie started working at New Directions in 2015 in the FASD Family Support, Education and Counselling Program. Her role within New Directions expanded to providing occupational therapy services across the agency, which now falls under the umbrella of the MACC.

When she first started with New Directions, Melanie was working primarily with children, their caregivers and other supports. Within the last couple years her work has expanded to working with individuals across the lifespan with a variety of backgrounds and diagnoses. Melanie enjoys supporting individuals to develop new skills, promote independence, work towards their identified goals and to contribute to their overall health and well-being.
