Regional Shift Staffed Homes (SSH) offers developmental disabled adults a safe and secure fully-staffed home.

Shift Staffed Homes provides adults with developmental disabilities a way to find meaning living in their communities.

The homes are safe, secure and have 24-hour in-home assistance and offer social, emotional, and mental health supports, helping individuals live a full life.

Each person determines what they do day-to-day so they can be the best they can be! Working with the individual, caregivers, the referral agency and day program staff create a plan that helps them live in community and do what they love.

Locations: Current regional locations are: Portage la Prairie and Brandon, MB

Referral Information: People aged 18 or older can be referred to New Directions by:

Family Services and Consumer Affairs Agency
Manitoba Family Services Regional Office
Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
Community Mental Health Services

Send the referral package to the New Directions Shift Staffed Home Program Manager and include recent social, medical, family and school/vocational information and a letter outlining the request for services.
